Since CVS switched from the big monthly deal book to the little "clip-free coupons" book, the monthly ExtraBucks offers haven't been much to write home about. But I did notice the following while flipping through the July booklet:
- There are four different glucose monitors paying 5ECBS each: MediSense Precision Xtra, Bayer Contour and Breeze 2 and Accu-Check Aviva. There are coupons for either Bayer meter in the 2/1 or 3/1 and RedPlums and and the 3/22 SmartSource that would make these a $5 moneymaker. (By the way, some people feel you shouldn't take these glucose meters out of the store if you don't need them. Personally, last time they were offered I got two and both people I gave them to on Freecycle were very grateful to receive them, even though they are generally given out free in doctors' offices. I certainly wouldn't buy them just to throw them in the trash, but it's certainly a personal decision whether properly distributing them is worth the ECBs you earn.)
- 1ECB for 2 Lipton Pureleaf tea bottles, 1ECB for 3 Fuze or Nestea bottles, or 3ECBs for 2 Gatorade or Propel 6 packs.
And by the way, today is the last day to fill up your fridge/freezer with Dean's milk if you are trying to double dip on CVS's milk deals. This week, you can get 3ECBs for buying 3 gallons of milk (seems to vary in different locations nationwide; the deal says buy 2 Oreos and 1 milk but it seems to work if you buy any 3) AND buy 5 gallons get the 6th for free.
Of course, some of us still have a broken refrigerator/freezer, so stocking up is not happening. Also, it's raining on 4th of July. Do you hear the violins? Those are for me, thanks.
