My Grocery Stockpile, Rummage Sale Victories and Kids Bowl Free

Wanted to link to a few of my recent posts on Frugalista:

To be fair, you bought USED clothes, which have no where near their retail value (I have to say used shoes are supposed to be a really bad idea for children because the previous child who wore them indented them in places that won't match your child's fit, making the fit not correct). Used clothes are pennies on the dollar.

I understand you got them cheaply, but I assumed based on the title that they were new and you got a great deal on new ones.

Oh, to be sure. Sorry to mislead with the link -- I didn't really think about it that way. At least 2 of the items (one onesie and the Trumpette socks) appeared to have never yet been washed so that is new enough for me.

As for used shoes, I have heard such things, but my kids have rarely worn a pair of brand-new shoes and we've never had a problem. Certainly even families that don't buy the shoes used to begin with end up passing them down from kid to kid.
