CVS Pampers Deal Update

OK, I just got off the phone with CVS customer service, and I have good news and bad news.
The good news is, anyone who bought Pampers yesterday expecting to get 5ECBs back as advertised on CVStoday.com, call customer service and they should add the ECBs to your account.
The bad news is, as of 9 a.m. this morning you will not get any more ECBs for buying Pampers. The deal was a mistake and is dead, according to the rep I spoke to, who knew exactly what I was asking about. The offer of 5ECBs has now been pulled from the online ad.
I suspected this might be some kind of glitch since it was not mentioned at all in the flyer, and since the flyer included a limit on the sale-price Pampers. I've never seen them print a limit on an item with no ECBs offered, so I kind of thought maybe they pulled the ECBs at the last minute and forgot to take off the limit text.
Anyway, the number for customer care is 888-607-4287. You'll need your card number, receipt and the diaper package so you can read them the store number, transaction number, exact amount you paid, and the UPC code. They'll also want to know the exact name of the product and how many diapers in the pack.
Consolation prizes: It may cheer you up to know that CVS is running a promo on Dean's milk now -- buy 5 gallons, get one free. This was apparently already active last week, when milk was $1 after ECBs. Wish I had realized -- would have been more incentive to get in there and buy the maximum! You can freeze milk, although I don't have much room in our freezer.
Also, to get your diaper deals on, check out Mir's link to the renewed Amazon promo, where you can get up to 30 percent off Pampers, and Common Sense With Money's Huggies deal at KMart ($3 a jumbo pack! I may have to get over there!).

How about that I spoke with CS representative at 12.42 p.m today and he said it will be honored and ECBs will be added to the account.
