Grocery Deals May 14-May 20 JEWEL-OSCO

Jewel seems to be pulling out all the "value" stops lately. The tags for lowered regular prices are all over the store (Is it just me or do these annoy the heck out of you? They are too similar to red clearance tags so they really draw my eye and distract me as I walk the aisles.) They have more good deals this week on their own version of super coupons. AND when I checked out today the cashier handed me four $5/$50 coupons, each good for a different week.
Here's the best I see this week. My store already has these deals up, and commenter Helen pointed out that many stores put out their sales as early as Sunday.
STORE COUPONS (must spend $10, limit is one item for each offer, and you should be able to combine with a manufacturer's coupon)
Jewel Cheese 8 oz., chunk or shred 88 cents
Cottonelle 12 double rolls or 8 triple $4.88 (use $1/1 blinkie)
Jewel cereals 11.8-17 oz. 88 cents
Philly Cream Cheese, 8 oz. 88 cents (if you buy 2 you can use $1/2 printable, but not sure what reg. price is)
The 4 for $9.99 deal this week includes a few items that might be a good deal -- 4.4 oz. blueberries, 1 lb. strawberries, or 10.5 oz. Nature Sweet Cherubs (use .55/1 Q from any SmartSource 3/22-4/26). You buy any for for the $10, so they are basically $2.50 each.
REGULAR DEALS
Fresh Express garden salad bogo @ $2.99
Dannon Yogurt cups 50 cents
Breyer's ice cream bogo @ ?
Hormel bacon bogo @ $5.99
boneless, skinless chicken breasts $2.49/lb.
Rosina meatballs, 32 oz. $6.99 (use .75/1 Q from 3/1 RedPlum)
Johnsonville Italian Sausage or Brats 19.76 oz. $4 (use $1/1 from 4/5 SmartSource)
Jennie-O Turkey Store Italian Sausage or Bratwurst bogo @ $5.49 (this will be a deal to watch for if you got one of the $5/1 Qs which are probably not being offered anymore)
mangoes 75 cents
large cantaloupe $2.49
Mountain High yogurt $2.50 (use .50/1 from 4/5 SmartSource) I GOT A $1/1 MQ at the register when I bought 2 of these. Not sure if you HAVE to buy 2 -- last time these were on sale you'd get a $1/1 Q just for buying one.
Natural Harvest Wide Pan Bread $2
Kraft salad dressing $1.67 (use $1.50 Q from 5/10 insert -- booya!)
Sweet Baby Ray's Marinade bogo @ $3.79 (use two $1/1 Qs from 5/10 SmartSource)
Ken's salad dressing or spray $1.67 (use $1/1 from 5/3 SmartSource)

CATALINA DEALS
1. ConAgra -- Spend $20, get $5 coupon (these days I don't really get too excited when they only offer $5 for a $20 purchase, lol)
Promising items include Healthy choice frozen dinners @ $2.50 (regular $4), soups @ $1, Hunt's ketchup @ $1, Hunt's tomatoes @ $1, Reddi Wip @ $2.50 (regular price $3.25), Orville popcorn @ $2 (regular $3.45)
Deal idea: Buy five dinners for $20 regular price, $12.50 sale price. Use five $1/1 printables and pay $7.50, get $5 back = 50 cents per meal. (Or two $1/1 Qs from 4/5 SmartSource. Pay $10.50, get $5 back = $1.10 per meal. Could possibly also use a "buy 5, get 1" Q from 2/8 SmartSource)
2. General Mills -- Buy 10 items, save $3 (again, not the most generous we see at Jewel)
Items include cereals and fruit snacks @ $2.50 (.75/1 printable), Chex Mix @ $2, brownie mix @ $1.25, Yo-Plus Yoplait Kids @ $2.50
Deal idea if you have access to multiple computers: Buy 10 yogurt packs, combining Yoplait kids yogurt @ $2.50 (use $1.50/1 printables, can print 2 per computer) and Yo-Plus ($1.50/1 printable) = $25 - $15 in Qs = pay $10, get $3 back. 70 cents per six pack and yes, you can freeze it for a summer's worth of yogurt pops.
More realistic deal idea: Buy combo of Yoplait Kids and Yo-Plus, use as many $1.50/1 coupons as you have plus some Yo-Plus $1/1 from 3/29, or $1/1 printables (I don't see any now but I have tons in my coupon file that I've previously printed.)
3. Buy s'mores ingredients, get $3 off instantly. Must buy one each: Kraft marshmallows, Honey Maid graham crackers and Hershey's six-pack. Use $1/1 Honey Maid printable, or look for tearpad offering $1 off if you buy all 3. Pay $5.75, get $3 off, making it $2.75 for your s'mores. Nice!
Um, yeah -- with all those sales and deals this week, I think I can use that $5/$50 I got today.

Have you used the WAGs rr at Jewel successfully? I'm a little scared to try it. Did you do self checkout?

Did 10 Healthy choice soups for $10 and got the $5 back. Healthy choice soups are $2.70 on shelf, so you can buy 8 for $8 and get the $5 cat, which makes them @ 38 cents each. Hope they're good.
