All Kinds of Mac and Cheese

Someone I know recently tweeted that their family's appreciation of dinner was inversely proportional to the amount of time spent on that dinner. Man, this is so true at my house. A couple nights ago, I was running late and my casserole (an affair that had required much grueling peeling, chopping and stirring) was still in the oven half cooked come dinner time. I broke out some Progresso soup and a loaf of Brownberry bread with cheese slices, and you'd think we were dining at Chez Panisse. I can still hear the 2-year-old going, "mmm, mmm, mmm" as she ate her minestrone.
They ate some of the casserole the next night, but no one said "mmm." Or even "m."
According to the theorum of work:enjoyment, no meal dazzles like boxed mac and cheese. So here are two ways to get cheaper (and healthier, incidentally) cheesies on Amazon:
30% off Annie's Homegrown (45% if you use Subscribe & Save)
$10 off 2 or more eligible Back to Nature products, including mac and cheese

Boy, ain't that the truth.

And if I look back to my own childhood, my favorite meal was hot dogs, mac and cheese, and crinkle cut fries baked in the oven. Seeing those things brought joy to my heart.

Thanks for the tip about the jewel cheese cat deal. I have done it twice and didn't know it included the cheese sticks..which are a huge hit at this house. I went back today (and used my RR from my wags huggies deal) and got more and 13 more cats. Love your site!

I agree with Becky; My mom slaved over the stove making roasts and gourmet deals when we were disappointed that beans and mac'n'cheese weren't on the menu....what? My son does the same to us now...funny how life is like that!
