What We Ate on That -- 11/5 - 11/11

When you see how many soups we've been eating, you'll realize how very glad I was to get 12 cartons of Progresso broth in the Jewel Catalina deal. I was patting myself on the back for getting "a whole winter's worth," but Epu pointed out that since I've been going through one or two cartons a week, it's more like 3 months worth at best. And in these parts, winter is a 6-month affair.

You'll also be seeing the arrival of pumpkin dishes this week, and expect to see much, much more in coming weeks. I have cut up only two of my eight free pumpkins so far; I'm butchering another one today for the pumpkin/lentil soup.

breakfast: pumpkin bread
lunch: oven-fried chicken quarter for me (my parents took the girls out to lunch)
dinner: chicken quarters on the grill with carrots, red peppers, onions

can't remember!

dinner: fajitas with pork (bought pre-seasoned), cheese, rice and beans, yogurt, tomatoes, red peppers and onions

breakfast: fajita leftovers with eggs
lunch: leftovers
dinner: borscht (from a jar) with fresh cabbage, carrot and red pepper, cheese toast, roast squash and leftover rice

lunch: Macaroni grill entree with diced chicken
dinner: pumpkin soup, bread and butter

breakfast: cereal
lunch: leftovers and Progresso soup
snack: pumpkin muffins
dinner: salmon, barley and stir fried cabbage with red pepper, pumpkin muffins

breakfast: pumpkin bread
snack: granola bars
dinner: pumpkin and lentil soup
