Easing Back Into the CVS Game

I only have $8.30 on my "richest" CVS account right now, which is making it challenging to make a go of any of this week's deals. The best-looking deals are free L'Oreal moisturizer at $15.99, and "buy $20, get $15" in Duracell batteries, which is a way better deal than they usually offer for batteries.

I need both those things (who doesn't need batteries, especially before Christmas?). Some of my ECBs are going to expire this week, so I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and spend a little off my gift card. But I figured out a way to only pay $3, and I'll end up with more than I spent, too. If I can't find the $5/2 Duracell tearpad, I'll have to pay $8 off the gift card.

So here's the plan, such as it is:

2 Crest Pro-Health $6.98
----------------------
- 1.50 mqs (I got .75/1 ones in the P&G insert instead of $1)
------
5.48, pay 5.29ECBs and .19 cents from gift card, get 7ECBs

4 Duracell 24.00
-------------------------
- 6.00 mqs (10/26 RedPlum)
- 5.00/2 CVS q (if i can find tearpad)
-----
13.00 (10ECBs + $3 off gc), get 15ECBs

L'Oreal $15.99
-------------------------
- 1.00 L'Oreal mq
------
14.99 -- pay 15ECBs and get 15.99ECBs

If you'd rather use ECB instead of cash and you can't find the $5/2 you could use the ECB from the crest on the second transaction

Thanks Stephanie, that is already worked into my plan.

Hi -
You can re-work your Duracell scenario to have less OOP - if you find the tear pad use 2 $5 off 2 coupons instead of just one - then your scenario would be:

4 Duracell 24.00
-------------------------
- 6.00 mqs (10/26 RedPlum)
- 10.00 (5.00/2 CVS q x 2) (if i can find tearpad)
-----
8.00 (7ECBs (from Crest) + $1 off gc), get 15ECBs

Hi Angie -- According to Slickdeals.net, these have a strict "one per customer" limit.

I did the battery deal yesterday - did 3 separate transactions and used 2 of these $5 off 2 coupons in every transaction - no beeps or anything. It worked for me.
