Mini-Wheats for 50 Cents, Maybe Moneymaker After Rebate

Thanks to reader Moana Blogger for alerting me of another good place to use all those Kellogg's coupons this week: Safeway or Dominick's. She says that if you buy 3 of the new Mini Wheat flavors (blueberry, strawberry, etc.), you'll get a $3 Catalina. Mini Wheats are on sale in my region for $2.50 each.

Didn't manage to get Kellogg's coupons during the brief time they were printing on Coupons.com? No problem: Go here to print two.

I'm going to hit Dominick's when I get a chance to make sure that the new flavors are on sale, not just the regular. If so, here's my plan:

Buy 3 @ $7.50, using 3 $1/1 printables (no longer available on Coupons.com). Pay $4.50 o.o.p. Get $3 Catalinas.

Use the $3 Catalinas, plus 3 $1/1, to buy 3 more boxes. Pay $1.50, and get $3 more Catalinas.

Repeat as many times as you want to, getting more and more 50-cent boxes of cereal.

If there are still boxes of the blueberry out there that have a free mail-in rebate offer, then you should be able to get a $2.50 rebate back in the mail as well. Kellogg's says the rebate offer is good until the end of the year, so hopefully the boxes still have that. (Strangely, I was able to find an online form for the identical promotion with Smart Start, but not with Mini-Wheats.)

woot! i'm famous! hope this deal works out for you and/or anyone else. we bought the cinnamon streusel and blueberry flavors, no plain at all. i wanted to do the chain but i didn't have my coupons with me (the shame!) and dh wanted to use the cat on paper towels (which we were out of). i would do this deal again and chain it but our safeway is 25 miles away and i don't anticipate going again before the sale ends.
