Coupon Alert: American Baby magazine

The cheapest baby food? Just steam and puree some spinach or whatever. It's not nearly as hard as people make it out to be, certainly not as hard as preparing dinner for adults.

But if you want some jarred baby food and powdered cereal, here's the deal: In the August issue of American Baby, on p. 57 there are coupons for 75 cents off Earth's Best Organic infant cereal or teething biscuit, and $1 off 10 jars Earth's Best Organic baby food. They expire 1/21/09.

In the same magazine, on p. 67, is a 10% off coupon for a single regularly priced item at Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot. If you haven't been there, this is a pretty good place if you want to buy baby gear new, such as car seats, strollers and swings. Good place to shop for a baby shower. The coupon expires 9/1/08.

The issue also has the typical pull-out cards for discounted JC Penney and Sears portraits, and cord blood banking.

It's even easier to steam and NOT puree. Babies can gum soft, lumpy foods like baked sweet potato, cooked carrots, peas and lots more.
