$42 Worth of Stuff for $5.35 in ECBs

Not too much to do at CVS this week. Only things that caught my eye are the Garnier deal, the Kotex Lightadays (a moneymaker), the free-after-ECBs ZipFizz, and the Kellogs bogo. Here are my ideas.

With these scenarios, I would end the week with 5.35ECBs less than I started with, but I would have stocked up on Garnier shampoo (which my friend asked for), hand soap, cereal and milk. Since I can afford to burn a few ECBs right now, that's fine with me.

1.
ZipFizz 5.99 (free after ecb)
2 Garnier shampoo 6.66 (buy $15, get 5ECB)
1 gallon milk 3.19
-------------------------
15.85
- 2.00 $2/$10 CVS q
2.00 off any Garnier mq (from paper)
--------
11.85 pay with 10ECBs + gift card, get 5.99ECBs back

2.
3 Garnier shampoo 10.00
---------------------------
- 2.00 CVS q
3.00 Garnier mqs
-------
5.00, pay with 5ECBs + tax from gift card
get 5ECBs back

3.
ZipFizz 5.99
Kelloggs 4.00 (?)
-----------------------------
- 2.00 CVS q
2.00 Kellogg's mqs
------
5.99 + tax, pay with 5ECBs and remainder from gc
receive 5.99 and send for rebate on one Kellogg's (if can find right flavor)

4.
Kotex 1.50
2 gallons milk 6.20
1 CVS hand soap 2.00
1 Oatmeal Cream Pie .30
-----------------------------
10.00
- 2.00 CVS q
2.00 CVS skin care q
1.00 Kotex mq
-----
5.00 + tax, pay 5ECB
receive 1.50ECB

In my ad flier (our sales start on Friday now) Shampoo/Conditioner is $3/$10 this week.

Great scenarios! I,klike you, will be losing a few ECB's this week - but getting something you need/want is worth it sometimes worth it!!

Hope this helps!

FYI if you're a Walgreens shopper . . . . Garnier comes out VERY cheap on Aug 29 & 30. It's on sale for $3.99, there is a $1 coupon in the Aug EasySaver, combined with $1 newspaper coupons, and then a $10 of $30 September rebate. 6 bottles for $1.94!!

MJ -- Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will try the Walgreens deal instead.

But wouldn't you have to buy 8 bottles @ $3.99 to get the $30 rebate? That still would be a good deal -- 8 for $10, IF I have enough coupons.
